Meran Lady MFS Comfort Fit (Wide) GTX Boot

Meran GTX Comfort fit suits those with slightly wider feet who need that extra space in width and height at the front of the shoe.

The model belongs to category A/B, which means it is suitable for use in lighter terrain, such as lighter hikes and walks on (gravel) roads, trails, or in forests with a small pack of 5–10 kg. It can advantageously be used all year round and winterized with a wool insole + wool socks in winter.

Meran also features MFS® technology – Memory Foam System – which is a foam in the heel area that, with the help of body heat, molds to your foot and provides a perfect individual fit.

The insoles from the Comfort fit® series are functionally developed and extremely comfortable.

Comfort fit® "Hiking" footbedd - Comes with the more stable Meindl models. Footbed made of continuous cork with a shock absorber at the heel for direct cushioning in the heel area. Practically glue-free connection - This means that the cork retains its permeability and can breathe perfectly. In combination with the good moisture absorption capacity of the cover and fleece, the footbed guarantees a dry sole - an important prerequisite for long-lasting climate comfort. The pad on the midfoot supports the foot muscles and provides an upright and secure gait.

Find the right size

Remember that air insulates! Don't choose too small a size – you should be able to wiggle and twist your toes in your shoes. We recommend that boots are about 10 mm longer than your foot length to accommodate, for example, extra socks or insoles, and because feet swell slightly during a day's hike.

The right socks

To achieve optimal climate comfort, it is really important to choose the best sock for the intended use. The function of the GORE-TEX® membrane is not affected by the socks worn with the shoe, but wearing the right sock can have a significant positive impact on perceived climate comfort and also prevent discomfort such as chafing.

Look for the right material blend: 100% cotton absorbs a lot of moisture and releases it very slowly. Moisture remains next to your feet, and your feet start to feel cold. Therefore, a blend of high-quality wool (e.g., Merino) and synthetic fibers (e.g., polyester, polyamide) is best.

Care for your shoes and boots before first use!

All Meindl shoes and boots are indeed impregnated from the factory, but care products are volatile. So impregnate or wax your shoes before first use.
