The Salomon Steep Pro Vario S3 is an advanced and versatile pole for alpine touring and backcountry skiing, designed for skiers who want maximum function, safety, and flexibility in varied terrain. With adjustable length, low weight, and smart details, this pole is built for everything from long ski tours to technical freeride lines.

The construction combines a lightweight upper aluminum shaft with a lower shaft made of Kevlar®-reinforced carbon fiber composite, providing an optimal balance between low weight and high durability. The extended foam grip makes it easy to change grip during steep traverses, while the S3 safety system provides extra security by releasing the strap under heavy load. An added bonus is the built-in screwdrivers that make quick adjustments out on the mountain both smooth and safe.
