Åsnes Ingstad Waxless

The Ingstad Waxless is a wide and playful touring ski developed for varied backcountry skiing where turns, control, and deep snow flotation are important characteristics. The ski is designed to perform equally well on challenging descents and longer traverses over flat terrain.

The generous sidecut, combined with a pronounced Nordic Rocker and tapered tip, makes the ski stable, easy to turn, and very responsive in deep snow. This construction provides good control in technical terrain while maintaining excellent float and stability.

The core is made from a combination of paulownia and poplar, offering low weight without compromising strength and stability. The Ingstad Waxless is equipped with a waxless grip pattern that provides excellent traction without kick wax, making the ski easy to use in varying snow conditions.

The ski also features the Åsnes Skinlock system, allowing for quick attachment of an X-Skin climbing skin for extra grip on ascents. For this model, a 58 mm nylon skin is recommended for steep or wet terrain, and a 45 mm mohair skin for better glide in colder and flatter conditions.
